What distinguishes this Lava pendant lamp, is its misleadingly soft shape which immediately calls to mind the shape of blown glass.  In fact, the lamp takes its name from this idea of blown glass, as it is called “Lava ”. For this pendant lamp, the designer wanted to push the limits of material technology by playing around with opacity and transparency.

The appearance of blown glass sought gives this Lava lamp an irregular bubble shape, giving the impression that the light is constantly moving in the atmosphere, and that it is fighting against gravity.  This airy aspect, the apparent softness of the material and the solemnity of this modern pendant lamp makes the designer’s Lava lamp a key element of an effective décor.         

This Lava lamp is versatile.  When switched off, the Lava pendant lamp will give a metallic, opaque and reflective effect, and when switched on, this glass lamp will change its look completely, and has a more transparent style.  Once lit, the Lava glass pendant lamp will play on the dimensions of space and create depths by bringing hypnotic reflections to the room.
